WALKING WITH GOD [ THE FOOTPRINT OF THE BIBLE

[ THE FOOTPRINT OF THE GOSPEL ]

( WALKING WITH GOD )

1- GOD ASSURES YOU THAT JESUS CHRIST HAS COME INTO YOUR LIFE :

# : In John 14:20 ): The Text says [ On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you].

* Some times people wish they knew the future so they could prepare for it. God has chosen not to give us this knowledge. He alone knows what will happen, but He tells us all we need to know to prepare for the future. When we live by God's standards, He will not leave us. He will come to us, He will be in us, and He will show Himself to us. God knows what will happen and because He will be with us through it, we need not to fear.
We don't have to know the future to have faith in God: we have to have faith in God to be in His Word.

2- GOD ASSURES YOU THAT YOUR SINS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN :

# : In Colossi ans 2:13-14): The Text says [ When you were dead in your sins and in the UN- circumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with it's regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us, He took it away, nailing it to the Cross] .

* We can enjoy our new life in Christ because we joined Him in His death and resurrection. Our evil desires, our bondage to sin, and our love of sin died with Him. Now, joining Him in His resurrection life, we may have unbroken fellowship with God and freedom from sin. Our debt for sin has been paid in full: our sins are swept away and forgotten by God: and we can be clean and new. For more on the difference between our new life in Christ and our old sinful nature, read ( Ephesians 4:23-24) and ( Colossi ans 3:3-15).

3- GOD ASSURES YOU THAT YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE :

# : In 1 John 5:13): The Text says [ I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life ].

* Some people hope that they will receive eternal life, John says we can know we have it . Our certainty is based on God's promise that He has given us eternal life through His Son . This is true whether you feel close to God or far away from Him. Eternal life is not based on feelings but on facts. You can know that you have eternal life if you believe in God's truth. If you aren't sure that you are a Christian, ask yourself( have I honestly committed my life to Him as my Savior and my Lord?) If so , you know by faith that you are indeed a child of God .

4- GOD LOVES YOU, CHOSE YOU, ADOPTS YOU INTO HIS OWN FAMILY:

# : In Ephesians 1:4-5):The Text says [ For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ in accordance with His pleasure and will ]. * No matter what else may be going on in your life, no matter what acceptance or rejection you may be facing from the others, you can know that God has completely accepted you and loves you unconditionally. Paul says that God ( chose us in Him) to emphasize the salvation depends totally on God not because we deserve it or our good deeds but because God is gracious and freely gives salvation and because of Christ,we are holy and blameless in God sight and we belong to Him so He looks us as if we had never sinned and we been adopted as His sons in God's family.

5- GOD HAS GIVEN YOU A NEW LIFE IN CHRIST:

#: In Colossi ans 2:6-7): The Text says [ So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness ].
* Receiving Christ as Lord of your life is the beginning of life with Christ. But you must continue to follow His leadership by being rooted, built up, and strengthened in the faith. Christ wants to guide you and help you with your daily problems. You can live for Christ by :
1- Committing your life and submitting your will to Him (Romans 12:1-2).
2- Seeking to learn from Him,His life and His teachings ( Colossi ans 3:16 ).
3- Recognizing the Holy Spirit power in you ( Acts 1:8 , Galatians 5:22 ) .
6- GOD GIVES YOU THE PRIVILAGE OF PRAYER CAUSE HE WANTS HEAR FROM YOU :
#: In Philippians 4:6) The Text says [ Do not be anxious about any thing but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God ].

* Imagine never being ( anxious about any thing ). It seems like an impossible, we all have worries on our jobs, in our homes, at schools. But Paul's advice is to turn our worries into prayers. Do you want to worry less?. Then pray more. Just as good friends can talk to each other, so God, your heavenly Father, wants you to talk to Him and you'll find that He talks to you as well, so commit yourself to pray to God. Talk to Him as you would to a friend. Make a list of the things that you want to talk to God about and your concerns.

7- GOD MAKES YOU HAVE AND TRUST THE TREASURE OF GOD'S WORD:

# : In 2 Timothy 3:16 ) The Text says [ All the Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness].
* The Bible is not a collection of stories, fables, myths, or merely human ideas about God. It is not a human book. Through the Holy Spirit, God revealed His person and plan to certain believers, who wrote down His massage for His people(2Peter 1:20-21). This process is known as inspiration. The writers wrote from their own personal, historical, and cultural contexts.

8- GOD GAVE YOU A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM BECAUSE OF JESUS CHRIST :
# : In Colossi ans 1:19-20) The Text says [ For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the Cross].
* Christ's death provided a way for all people to come to God. It cleared a way the sin that keeps us from having the right relationship with our creator. This does not mean that every one has been saved, but that the way has been cleared for any one who will trust Christ to be saved. We can have peace with God and be reconciled to Him by accepting Christ, who died in our place. Now let me ask you, Is there a distance between you and your Creator?. Be reconciled to God. Come to Him through our Lord Jesus Christ.

9- GOD GIVES YOU HIS HOLY SPIRIT TO ENABLE YOU TO LIVE THE CHRISTIAN LIFE:
# : In John 14:26) The Text says [ But the Counselor: The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of everything I have said to you ].
* Jesus promised the disciples that the Holy Spirit would help them remember what He had teaching then. This promise ensures the validity of the New Testament. The disciples were eyewitnesses of Jesus' life and teachings, and the Holy Spirit helped them remember without taking away their individual perspectives. We can be confident that the Gospel are accurate records of what Jesus taught and did( see 1 Corinth. 2:10-14).
The Holy Spirit can help us in the same way. As we study the Bible, we can trust Him to plant the truth in our mind, convince us of God's will, and remind us when we stray from it.

10- GOD GIVES YOU THE WAY OUT IN THE TEMPTATION TIME:

# : In 1Corinthians10:13) The Text says [ No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it].
* In a culture filled with moral depravity and sin- inducing pressures, Paul gave strong encouragement to the Corinthians about temptation. He said: 1- Wrong desires and temptations happen to everyone, so don't feel you've singled out .
2- Others have resisted temptations, and so can you.
3- Any temptation can be resisted because God will help you resist it. God helps you resist the temptation by helping you:- 1- Recognize those people and situations that give you troubles. 2- Run from any thing you know is wrong.
3- Choose to do only what is wright.
4- Pray to God's help.
5- Seek friends who love God and can offer help when you are tempted.
Running from tempting situation is your first step on the way to victory(2Timothy2:22).

11- GOD GIVES YOU FORGIVENESS EVEN WHEN YOU CONTINUE MESS UP:
# In 1 John 1:9) The Text says [ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness].
* If God has forgave our sins because of Christ death. Why must we confess our sins?. In admitting our sins and receiving Christ' cleansing, we are :-
1- Agreeing with God that our sin truly is sin and we are willing to turn from it.
2- Ensuring that we don't conceal our sins from Him and consequently from ourselves.
3- Recognizing our tendency to sin and relying on His power to overcome it.
True confession also involves a commitment not to continue in sin. We wouldn't be genuinely confessing our sins to God if we planned to commit them again and just wanted temporary forgiveness. We should also pray for strength to defeat temptation the next time we face it.

12- GOD GIVES YOU THE CHURCH AS PRIVILAGE OF WORSHIP :-

#: In Hebrews 10:25) The Text says [ Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching].
* When you become a Christian, you joined a family. Some times called( The body of Christ) which means you are now related to Christians all over the world, you need to join a portion of that family by beginning to attend a local church. If you neglect the church ( or the Christian's meetings) you giving up the encouragement and the help of other Christians. We gather together to share our faith and to strengthen one another in the Lord.
So we have significant privileges come with our new life in Christ:-
1- We have personal access to God through Christ.
2- We may grow in faith, overcome doubts, and deepen bonds with God.
3- We may enjoy motivation from one another (Hebrew10:24).
4- We have privilege to worship together in the church( Hebrew10:25).

13- GOD GIVES YOU THE POWER TO SHARE TH GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL:-
#: In Romans 1:16) The Text says[ I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for Salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew; then for the Gentile].
* When really understand what Christ have done for us, first respond will be is believing in Christ and trusting Him as Savior and Lord, then we will never be ashamed of spreading the word of the Gospel and try hard to let others know and understand what we knew and understood.

14- GOD GIVES YOU HIS HOLY SPIRIT TO EQUIPED YOU AGAINST SATAN:-
# In Ephesians 6:17) The Text says[ Take the Helmet of Salvation, and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God].
* To fight a battle you need powerful equipment. The Holy Spirit will use the power of God's word like a sword to defeat Satan. A great strategy is to memorize verses from the Scripture so you always have it with you to give you comfort and help you in temptation's time.

15- GOD HELPS YOU SET UP LONG-TERM GOAL TO BE LIKE HIS SON THE CHRIST:-
# In Philippians 1:6) The Text says [ He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus]. * You been a true Christian so you should have a goal in the long run to be as God's Son Jesus Christ, fortunately you don't do this alone. God works in you to help you become more like His Son. God will help you grow in grace until He complete His work in you and He will not give up on you. His work in us began when we first believed. Now the Holy Spirit lives in us, enabling us to be more like Christ.

16- GOD LOVES US ULTIMATE LOVE:-

# In John 3:16) The Text says [ For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not parish but have eternal life].
* You can turn over your life to God's control because He loves you and wants the very best for you, in fact, He loves you so much that He gave His Son, to die on the Cross for you, you just have to understand that when you trust God you actually trusting the One who created you. When you turn your life over to Him, you are giving your life to the One who gave it to you first place and knows you inside out so you can put your complete trust in Him that He alone can saves you. Here God sets the pattern of true love, the basis for all love relationships.
When you love someone dearly, you are willing to give freely even a self-sacrifice. When we share the Gospel with others our love must be like Jesus- willingly giving up our own.

17- GOD GIVES US PANISHMENT BECAUSE HE LOVES US:-

# In Job 1:18-19) The Text says [ While he was speaking, yet another messenger came and said”Your sons and daughters were feasting and drinking wine at the oldest brother's house, when suddenly a mighty wind swept in from the desert and struck the four corners of the house, it collapsed on them and they are dead, and I am the only one escaped to tell you” ].
* Job is portrayed as a rich man who loves God. Yet God allows Satan to destroy his flocks, his possessions, his children, and his health. Job refuses to give up on God, even though he does not understand why this is happening to him. We, too must trust God when we do not know why He punishes us. So suffering can be, but is not always, a penalty for sin. In the same way, prosperity is not always, a reward for being good. Those who love God are not exempt from trouble. Although we may not be able to understand fully the pain we experience, it can lead us to discover God and His love.

18- GOD GIVES US THE PRIVILEGE TO APPROACH HIM DIRECTLY NOW:-

# In Matthew 26:28) The Text says [ This is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins ].
* In the Old Testament people used priest to approach God. After Christ death God gives us the privilege to approach Him directly through faith because Christ's death has made us acceptable in God's eyes( Romans 3:21-24). The old covenant was a shadow of the new one( Jeremiah 31:31) (Hebrew 8:1) pointing forward to the day when Jesus Himself would be the final and ultimate sacrifice for sin.

19- GOD LOVES THE SINNERS BUT HATES THEIR SINS:-

In Romans 1:18) The Text says [ The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness ].
* God is angry at sin because it makes people substituted the truth about Him with a lie, look (Romans 1:25). They have stifled the truth God naturally reveals to all people in order to believe anything that supports their own self-centered life style. God cannot tolerate sin because His nature is morally perfect. He cannot ignore or condone such willful rebellion, God wants to remove the sin and restore the sinners, and He is able to, as long as the sinner does not stubbornly distort or reject the truth.

20- GOD ALWAYS KEEP HIS PROMISES TO US:-

# In Ephesians 1:13-14) The Text says [ And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the Gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession, to the praise of His glory].
* The Holy Spirit God's seal that we belong to Him and His deposit guaranteeing that He will do what He promised. The Holy Spirit is like a down payment, a deposit, a validating signature on the contract. The presence of the Holy Spirit in us demonstrates the genuineness of our faith, proves that we are God's children, and secures eternal life for us, His power works in us to transforms now, and what we experience now is a taste of the total change we will experience in eternity.
21- GOD USES VARIETY PEOPLE TO DO HIS WORK :-

# In Matthew 1:1-17) The Text says [ A record of genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David the son of Abraham:- Abraham was the father of Isaac
Isaac was the father of Jacob
Jacob the father of Judah & his brothers.
Judah the father of Perez & Zerah, whose mother was Tamar.
Perez the father of Hezron.
Hezron the father of Ram.
Ram the father of Amminadab.
Amminadab the father of Nahshon.
Nahshon the father of Salmon.
Salmon the father of Boaz. whose mother was Rahab.
Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth.
Obed the father of Jesse.
Jesse the father of King David ….................
* In the first 17 verses we meet 46 people whose lifetimes span 2,000 years, all were ancestors of Jesus, but they varied considerably in personality, spirituality, and experience. Some were heroes of faith-like Abraham,Isaac, Ruth and David. Some had shady reputation-like Rahab and Tamar.
Many were very ordinary- like Hezron,Ram,Nahshon, and Akim. And others were evil- like Manasseh and Abijah. God's work in history is not limited by human failures or sins, and He works through ordinary people. Just as God used all kind of people to bring His Son into the world, He uses all kinds today to accomplish His will, and God wants to use you too.
